KISMET

Like a tale spun by Scheherezade, this exotic Arabian fantasy follows the remarkable and repeated changes of fortune that engulf a poor poet. It all happens in one incredible day when Kismet (Fate) takes a hand in the lives of the poet, Hajj, his daughter Marsinah, the young Caliph of Baghdad and Lalume, the vampy wife of the evil Wazir.

The lush and complex musical score, based on themes of Alexander Borodin, includes such songs as Stranger In Paradise, Baubles Bangles and Beads, This is My Beloved, and Not Since Nineveh.
